5 Day Boteti Delta Safari, From $1400

Day 1- Maun to Safari Camp

You will be picked up from the airport at any hotel in the Maun area. Your guide will transfer you to a semi-luxury tented camp situated on the banks of the Boteti River. After check-in, your ranger will brief you on the exciting activities that lie ahead. You will have some time to explore the camp and absorb the magnificent surroundings.

A light lunch will be served before you depart on a thrilling mokoro river safari. During the adventurous mokoro excursion, you will see hippos in the water and crocodiles along the river banks. You will also have the chance to spot other wildlife as well as amazing birdlife. Your mokoro guide will explain interesting facets of the river and the ecosystem.

After your mokoro experience, you will return to camp where you will have time to freshen up before evening activities. Later, we will gather around an open fire where you can chat and enjoy great company. Dinner will be served around the campfire. Your overnight stay will be in your luxury tent.

Day 2- Mokoro Excursion and Nature Walk

You’ll wake up at sunrise to the first bird calls of the day. Enjoy the crisp morning air as you greet the new day in the wild. Freshly brewed coffee (or tea or juice) and biscuits will be served before you depart on an exhilarating mokoro excursion in the Okavango Delta. A packed breakfast will be provided.

You will learn interesting aspects of this abundant ecosystem while exploring channels and islands. At the same time, you will have opportunities to spot wildlife including an abundance of birdlife.

We will stop on one of the many islands to enjoy a packed lunch or picnic.
After lunch, you will embark on an exciting nature walk with an armed ranger. He will explain and interpret this wildlife paradise in a unique and educational manner.

After a full day of safari adventures, you return to camp for evening activities and your overnight rest.

Day 3- Full Day Moremi Safari

At the crack of dawn, you will awake to the calls of the wild. As you step out of your tent you will be greeted by friendly faces and a freshly brewed cup of tea or coffee. You will then embark on a full day of safari activities in the Moremi Game Reserve. Packed breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Moremi is the only proclaimed wildlife reserve in the Okavango Delta. Moremi together with its spectacular Khwai area is home to the most diverse habitat and animal populations in Botswana. The Moremi / Khwai combination is widely regarded as the most fascinating wildlife area in the Delta.

The reserve stretches across several thousand square kilometres, comprising a magical landscape of forests, lagoons, floodplains, and islands.
Game viewing is excellent all year round and resident species include lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant, African wild dog, zebra, red lechwe, and many more.

After safari, return to camp for evening activities, dinner and overnight.

Day 4- Scenic Flight Over Delta

Enjoy a hearty breakfast before a thrilling scenic flight over the Okavango Delta. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. After your scenic flight, enjoy a picnic before returning to camp. You will have time to relax and enjoy your surroundings before dinner.

In the evening, we will all gather around the campfire for socialising and dinner.

Note: The fixed-wing plane flight over the Delta is included. You can optionally upgrade to a helicopter flight or add it as an extra activity.

Day 5- Drop Off in Maun

After breakfast, your guide will transfer you to Maun. The drop-off is at a place of your own arrangement.
