Northern Malawi Safari

The 7- Day northern Malawi adventure takes you to Viphya plateau, a game drive to Nyika National Park, Chintheche, and ends at Makuzi beach lodge free day at leisure. The tour also includes optional activities like scuba diving, Horse- riding, and sailing at the historical Bandawe mission site, among others. Some nights at the chalets makes the whole journey more fantastic and enjoyable.

Day 1- Viphya Plateau

We pick up from any hotel in Lilongwe, Malawi. Rise for a 4- an hour north drive to Viphya Plateau. Arrive before noon and settle at the cottage, which is at kwandama hills. At noon walk through the forest, if time allows, visit the essential oil processing facility. Overnight at Guest House. Meals include; Picnic Lunch and Dinner. (8 hours)

Day 2- Viphya Plateau- Nyika National Park

Continue northwards to Nyika National Park via Mzuzu. Grab something for lunch at the entrance of the Park. Game drive for approximately three hours reaching your overnight lodge; Chelida chalets Meals include; Breakfast, Picnic Lunch, and Dinner. (8 hours)

Day 3- Nyika National Park

Spend the day in  a game drive at Nyika National Park with guided walks at the Park. There will be an optional night drive at an added cost. Overnight at Chelida chalets. Meals include; Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. (8 hours)

Day 4- Nyika- Livingstonia

After an early breakfast, leave for Livingstonia en route Rumphi. Picnic lunch on the way arriving at Livingstonia at noon. Spend the noon with guided walks to a nearby waterfall or some viewpoints at the mountain. Overnight at the chalets in Lukwe Mushroom Lodge. Meals include; Breakfast, Picnic Lunch, and Dinner.

Day 5- Chintheche Water Board

Through the famous 22 hairpin escarpment road, reach the lakeshore to Chintheche via Mzuzu. Overnight at Makuzi Beach Lodge. Meals include; breakfast, picnic lunch, and dinner.

Day 6- Makuzi Beach Lodge

Day at leisure on the beach or participate in optional activities like scuba diving, Horse- riding, and sailing at the historical Bandawe mission site, among others. Overnight at Makuzi Beach Lodge. Meals include; Breakfast and Dinner

Day 7- Kamuzu International airport

Breakfast then transfers to the airport for your onward journey.
