Explore the ancient wonders of Oman on this 6-day tour. Begin your journey in Muscat, where you’ll visit the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Bait Al Zubair Museum, Al Alam Palace, and the vibrant Muttrah Souq. In Nizwa, Oman’s cultural capital, you’ll discover the historic town, the stunning Jabrin Castle, and Bahla’s renowned pottery. Wahiba Sands awaits with its mesmerizing sand dunes and a thrilling dune-driving experience. Enjoy a beautiful sunset from the dunes and a BBQ dinner. Day four takes you to the oasis of Wadi Bani Khalid, where you can take a refreshing dip. Continue to the fishing town of Sur and explore its maritime heritage. Your journey concludes back in Muscat, where you’ll depart for home.
Day 1- Muscat
You will arrive at the Muscat International Airport. Upon your arrival you proceed straight to the Immigration. Immigration & customs are quick & simple. Upon arrival at the General arrival lounge you will be met by our friendly & efficient chauffeur who will assist you to the comforts of our vehicle to drive you to the hotel. Later, you will be met at the hotel for a half day City Tour. The tour begins with a visit to the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the Middle East. Visit Bait Al Zubair Museum. You will have photo stops at the residence of his Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Al Alam Palace, which is flanked by the 16th century Portuguese forts. Evening you will be strolling through Muttrah Souq, where you will be bargaining for handicrafts and silver items. Overnight Muscat Hotel.
Day 2- Nizwa
Today you will have a full day visit to the historic town of Nizwa, Oman’s cultural capital. You proceed to Jabrin castle built in the 17th century is one of the finest of its kind. Its magnificent plasterwork, the carved doors and the painted wooden beams of the ceilings makes this castle amazingly different. Thereafter continue to Bahla, one of the oldest small towns of Oman and in the 12th century the capital of the tribe living in the region. As the monumental fort is closed for renovation only a photo stop is planned. Bahla is also famous for its pottery. Overnight at Nizwa Hotel.
Day 3- Wahiba Sands
Morning drive to Wahiba sands, via Birkat A Mauz and Ibra. Wahiba sands, a vast mass of undulating red and white sea of sand. The ever-changing patterns of the dunes are a photographer’s delight. After some exciting sand dune driving which offers excellent thrills and chills for all. Evening watch spectacular sunset from top of the dunes. BBQ dinner and overnight at Wahiba Sands.
Day 4- Wadi Bani Khalid
Your first destination is Wadi Bani Khalid – an oasis spot in the middle of the barren and dry mountains. It is one of the most beautiful wadis in Oman and its pools with clear deep blue water give you an opportunity to take a refreshing dip.Then drive to you visit the fishing town of Sur, the easternmost town on the Arabian Peninsula, where until recently the famous Omani Dhows were built. Sur dates back centuries and is closely linked with the maritime heritage of Oman. Back to Muscat evening
Day 5- Muscat
Departure transfers to the Airport to connect the flight back home.
