Day 1: Transfer to Akagera national park.

On your day 1 of 5 days Rwanda gorilla trekking & Akagera wildlife safari, be ready for pick up from your lodge / hotel in Kigali or direct from Kigali international airport upon arrival and be driven to Akagera national park via the wilderness of beautiful nature in the land of a thousand hills. Depending on your arrival time, you will enjoy a served lunch at the lodge and spend the evening hours on an evening game drive to spot some wildlife species including Elephants, Zebras, impalas, lions among others. Enjoy dinner at the lodge and have an overnight sleep.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema.

Enjoy your early breakfast on day 2 of 5 days Rwanda gorilla trekking & Akagera wildlife safari and be transferred from your lodge for an early morning game drive to spot more wildlife to sum up the big 5 mammals as they graze within the green savanna grassland including more elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, species of birds, beautiful butterflies and the stunning vegetation cover.  After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and embark on an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema where you will enjoy the cool breathe while watching several species of wildlife along the shores of the lake Ihema such as mammals including Elephants, Buffaloes, Impalas, Hippos, crocodiles , and several species of water birds among others. Have an evening game drive as you return to the lodge for dinner and have an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes national park

Meet your driver and embark on the drive to Volcanoes national park via different beautiful land scape filled with vegetation cover, coffee plantations, hills, and many more as seen along the way. Enjoy an enroute lunch and dinner at the lodge upon arrival.

Day 4: Mountain gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park and cultural tours

Ensure that breakfast is served in time, pack enough snacks, drinking water and be transferred to the park headquarters of volcanoes national park for briefing before embarking on an adventurous expedition of gorilla trekking in the wilderness of volcanoes national park. After the briefing, you will be in position to trail into the forest in search of habituated mountain gorillas that are used to humans.  Once you get closer to mountain gorillas, you will be offered an hour to view the gorillas while learning their different manners including feeding, copulating, breast feeding among others.  Return to the lodge after trekking gorillas for relaxation and embark on an evening cultural tour where you will spend some time within Ibyiwacu cultural village for a breath taking Kinyarwanda traditional, cultural dances and drama. Return to the lodge for dinner and have an overnight stay.

Day 5: Return to Kigali for departures

Have a relaxed breakfast at the lodge then check out and meet your tour driver to be returned to Kigali with an enroute visit to Kigali museum, and genocide memorial sites and Kigali city tour at large. Have lunch in Kigali and be dropped off at the designated hotel in Kigali or at Kigali international airport for departures.
