4 Day Safari in Kafue National park, From $1,1390

Deep in Zambia, on the banks of the Kafue River lies one of the largest game parks in Africa. A place where hippos and crocodiles rule the waters, lions the land, and fish eagles in the sky. Here you will experience true wildlife by game-viewing and birding. This is a destination that can’t be missed by those wanting a true African safari experience. You will find many different species of buck, buffalo, and wildebeest in the park, as well as big game cats such as lions.

Day 1- Kafue national park

On arrival at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN), meet and greet by your driver, he will then assist you with luggage, pick you up and transfer you to Pinnon Safari Lodge in Kafue National Park. Located straight on the Kafue River, Pinnon Lodge is a perfect place to enjoy a truly wild African safari.

Animals to be found around the lodge and in Kafue National Park include Lion, Cheetah, Leopard, Wild Dog, Elephant, Hippo, Nile Crocodile, 19 species of antelope, over 400 species of birds and many smaller animals.

Depending on your time of arrival, you will check-in and have the rest of the afternoon and at leisure. Enjoy the Riverview of Kafue River then later in the evening dinner will be served followed by bedtime at your convenience.

Day 2- Kafue National Park

The day will start with breakfast in the morning, then you will go out for the game drive or a walking Safari and then you will return to the lodge for lunch, relax free time and then in the afternoon you will have afternoon tea/coffee before departing for the late afternoon game drive and back to the lodge in time for dinner then bedtime.

Day 3- Kafue National Park

The day will start with breakfast in the morning, then you will go out for the game drive or a walking Safari and then you will return to the lodge for lunch, relax free time, later in the afternoon you will be served with tea/coffee with a snack followed by a boat trip. Enjoy a trip on the Kafue river on the boat. This is a lovely way to end the day with a cold drink and thereafter return to the lodge for dinner and bedtime.

Day 4-  Lusaka

Today you will start your day with breakfast in the morning but it will entirely depend on the schedule of your flight out of Lusaka, the driver will pick you either after breakfast or lunch and transfer you to Lusaka in time for your flight back home or onward flight arrangements.

Note: This itinerary can be customised and also combined with Victoria Falls, Lower Zambezi, South Luangwa and can also be extended with other sections or Kafue National Park.
